We were only able to publish the book because of a successful Thundafund campaign. Thanks to all the people who supported it by buying one or two or more copies. We had over 150 supporters and reached our dream goal of R100,000.00
Ambre Nichsolson created the book concept, and wrote the text, while her husband, Jaxon Hsu did the brilliant illustrations, which as The City Press says “Hsu’s illustrations create an instant iconography around the women and are as much a reason to buy the book as the text.” Karen Lilje of Fire and Lion designed the book and RSA Litho printed it. The book is based on a US version called An A to Z of Rad American Women.
